Ahh, I love Tozer Tuesday, such an inspirational man.
“God wants worshippers before workers; indeed the only acceptable workers are those who have learned the lost art of worship. It is inconceivable that a sovereign and holy God should be so hard up for workers that He would press into service anyone who had been empowered regardless of his moral qualifications. The very stones would praise Him if the need arose and a thousand legions of angels would leap to do His will.” - AWTozer
Inspiration #2 for the day: I will follow Your heart, I believe that You are all that you say You are.
Part 2] “You see, I’ve been hated since conception by so many, and loved by so many more— but especially God. I’m his girl. You don’t mess with God’s girl. I’ve got a sign on my forehead that says you don’t mess with me because my Father runs the world.”
Part 1] Beautiful, passionate lady that has challenged me in so many ways over the past couple years.
“It is the mercy of God that sustains you, even when you hate Him.
This song is the amplification of what I know, but don’t often let affect my heart.
You see my anxious heart, You see what I am feeling,
And when I fall apart,You were there to hold me,
How great your love for me!
Now I see what you’re thinking,
You say I’m beautiful, Your voice is my healing,
Without You I just can’t get by
Have I mentioned recently that I love my church? It’s IS gospel community.
Have I mentioned recently that I love my pastor? He continually opens my eyes to the truths in the Word, and shows so much humility when presenting Scripture.
I am so lucky to be immersed in the love of community @ The Well.

I remember during one of the sermons over the summer [message was on biblical relationships] Jeremy said to the guys in the room: “the Proverbs 31 woman had a Proverbs 31 guy.” That statement struck a chord in me and has left me pondering ever since. Here are some of my thoughts/rants :]
#1: [Proverbs 31]…guys?
I don’t mean to sound like an emotional girl or cheesy by any means, but where are the “proverbs 31 guys?” I know it sounds so cliche, but I have prayed that my future husband is a guy who is a strong leader, seeking after God with everything he’s got. I pray he is kind and keeps his heart + mind protected from what culture says he needs to act like/do to be “a man.” I hope there’s a guy out their keeping his eyes + heart focused on God, a guy worthy of respect.
“with everything I’ve got my heart will sing, how I love You”
#2: [The Pursuit] Unless you are pursuing God, you can’t rightly pursue the heart of a girl.
One of the most frustrating things for me as a girl, is the way in which most guys go about pursuing relationships. Our culture in general has been raised to expect immediate results + instant gratification. Most guys don’t enter into relationships expecting to/or prepared to pursue the girl’s heart. Often, without taking the time to get to know her more than a surface relationship, they expect the girl to put her heart on the line. And the sad thing is, most girls will —which just fuels the problem.
Things to remember for guys + girls:
-Don’t compromise for any reason. If the guy can’t pursue you before you’re in a relationship, he probably won’t pursue you when you’re married.
- Christian relationships are a model of Christs relationship with the church - and the general rule in my mind is that relationships should be initiated by the guy. If he doesn’t initiate, don’t try to force it— wait until he’s ready.
- As a Christian guy, you’re called to protect the girls around you. This includes sisters, friends + more than friends :) Part of protecting their heart is not putting them in a position of vulnerability by putting their emotions/heart on the line without you having first done the same.
*disclaimer: I know Christian girls have problems equally, if not more frustrating for guys— this is simply a rant about something on my mind recently.
Today is #TozerTuesday— almost forgot to post my quote!
“God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which he must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves.”
